The Interlocking Lotus Pattern is a classic traditional Chinese motif. Its drawing is extremely difficult: all lines must be smooth, round and gently curved, with no straight lines allowed. The pattern has to be created in one continuous, uninterrupted stroke. It requires superb skill and steady hands, making it a highly valuable classic decoration in Chinese porcelain art.
